Working as a journalist without the protection and support of a newspaper is not necessarily easy. A freelance is very often an entrepreneur with the goal of achieving his/her life's passion: journalism in the field. Freelance journalists also want to compete personally, getting involved and making an independent change to their career. There are freelance journalists who have been news or war reporters for years, and others, young or not so young, who embark on new or alternative paths with the same courage and passion.
