Lou Del Bello is an expat and a multimedia producer working in London for the international network SciDev.Net.
She started her career working as a reporter for a weekly local newspaper in Emilia Romagna. In 2009 she founded the online magazine Sottobosco.info, which covered environmental issues from a local perspective. She studied semiotics in Bologna and after her graduation she worked as a freelance journalist and communication officer for a while, between Bologna and Rome.
She then moved to the UK to study Science Journalism at City University London, and joined SciDev.Net as a multimedia editor one year later, in October 2013. She now splits her time between editorial activity and investigative reporting, mainly covering energy and climate change in developing countries.
