Valerio Bassan is senior editor of VICE News Italy, where he coordinates a newsroom of in-house journalists and external contributors. Previously, he was co-founder and editor-in-chief of Il Mitte, an online newspaper based in Berlin, and coordinator of Newslab, an Italian observatory on the future of media.
He has written about online journalism, digital strategy and business models for several news outlets in Europe. He is co-author with Philip Di Salvo of Next Journalism (2015), author of Tutta un'altra notizia (2013) and editor of the Italian edition of the ebook by Jeff Jarvis entitled Gutenberg il geek.
