The death of Jamal Khashoggi was more than the murder of a journalist. It has undermined the axis with Saudi Arabia on which Donald Trump's United States had built their entire Middle Eastern policy, it has set aflame once again the struggle for dominance in Sunni Islam between Erdogan's Turkey and MbS's Saudi Arabia and it has sent a message of terror to dozens of Arab dissidents.
