One year ahead of the European elections, it is time to look into how we can "communicate Europe". There is still a huge gap between citizens and what is going on in the Brussels bubble. “Europe” is not a sexy topic. On the other hand, the decisions that are taken in Brussels affect people everywhere in the EU. Journalists are in a way the bridge between politicians and citizens, but how should we communicate Europe? Is it about institutions, or topics, or people? Where are the difficulties and what can be done on different levels to improve the reporting on and the communication around European politics?
