Ruth Reichstein
Greens/EFA group European Parliament
Ruth Reichstein is Head of Communications and Strategy of the Greens/EFA group in the European Parliament.
Ruth is a trained journalist and political scientist. She worked for 10 years as a correspondent for several German media organisations in Brussels, including the public broadcaster ARD, and daily newspapers tageszeitung and Deutschlandfunk. She covered European affairs, but also reported on several topics from EU Member States with a special focus on refugees and migration. She wrote her thesis on a European public space with a special focus on German-French cooperation.
In 2013, she moved from journalism to politics and became responsible for communications for the Presidents of the Greens/EFA group in the European Parliament. Since August 2017, she has been leading the Communications and Strategy team of the group.
