In April 2015, The Gold Medals (Contrasto) will be published. It will be the first book that traces the history of photography during the last sixty years (1955-2015), through the winning images of the five oldest and most prestigious photography awards (World Press Photo, Robert Capa Gold Medal, Visa d'or, Eugene Smith Award, Oscar Barnack Award). The volume is divided into decades and each decade will be introduced by a presentation text written by the most famous photo editors of today.
Starting from this book, the panel will consider photojournalism through the history of its most important awards.
