Zhang Zhi’an
School of Communication Sun Yat-sen University
Zhang Zhi’an is the dean of the School of Communication and Design at Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou, China. He also serves as the vice president of Guangdong Journalism Study Association. He earned his B.A. degree in 2000 and Ph.D. degree in 2006 at Fudan University with a major in journalism and communication. Professor Zhang is visiting scholar of several universities, including University of Exeter in UK, City University of Hong Kong, Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Taiwan Chengchi University. He is also the guest professor in Zhengzhou University, Shandong University, Shaanxi Normal University and Chongqing Normal University. His research interests include Chinese journalism, news production sociology, big data and Internet governance. Professor Zhang has published more than 15 books such as The study on Chinese audiences in the new communication ecology, In-depth reporting: theory, practice and the case study, The annual report of Chinese Journalism (2014-2016) and so on.
