Stephanie Reuter

director Rudolf Augstein Foundation

Stephanie Reuter is the director of the German Rudolf Augstein Foundation. Before joining the foundation in 2011 she headed the office of the Institute for Cultural and Media Management at the University for Music and Theatre in Hamburg. The trained journalist and cultural manager, who holds master’s degrees in both subjects, has not only worked with major German media such as press agency dpa and broadcasters ZDF and SWR, but also in the foundation sector with several German foundations such as Robert Bosch Foundation and the Stiftung Zollverein. She is an alumna of the German Academic Scholarship Foundation and was a Knight Visiting Nieman Fellow at Harvard University in 2017 where she did research about the future of foundation-supported journalism. Stephanie is also a member of the Steering Committee of the German Expert Group Foundations and Quality Journalism. The group helps foundations to become supporters of quality journalism.
