Silvia Bencivelli

Silvia Bencivelli is an award-winning science journalist, author and radio and television presenter. She is among the presenters of Pagina3 and Radio3 Scienza on RAI Radio 3. On TV she has worked with RAI Scuola (Nautilus and Memex) and with RAI 3 (Tutta Salute, Presa Diretta, Cosmo). She writes for La Repubblica, Le Scienze, Focus and other newspapers. She also teaches science journalism at the La Sapienza University of Rome and elsewhere.

Her books include the novel Le mie amiche streghe (Einaudi, 2017) and the non-fiction book È la medicina, bellezza! (with Daniela Ovadia, Carocci, 2016). In 2023, she published two books: “Heroic, Mad, Visionary – Stories of Reckless Medicine” (Bollati Boringhieri) and “Doubt and Desire – Eva Mameli Calvino” (Electa).
