Roberto Sapag is the Editor-in-Chief of Diario Financiero, Chile’s leading business newspaper. A journalist from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, he also has a Diploma in Business Management from the Universidad de Chile. His professional career began at Diario Financiaro, which he now edits. He also covers the same position at Capital magazine, part of the same publishing group.
Diario Financiero was founded in 1988 by a group of journalists specialized in finance and economics. Since 1995 the newspaper has been controlled by the Claro Group (Cristalerías Chile and Viña Santa Rita, among others). Between 1995 and 2005 the Spanish group Recoletos also had a stake in Diario Financiero. Published from Monday to Friday, the newspaper’s readership is principally executives, entrepreneurs and opinion leaders.
