Raffaele Cantone is president of the Italian National Anti-Corruption Authority (ANAC). A deputy public prosecutor in Naples, where he joined the District Anti-Mafia Directorate in 1999, he then became the magistrate in charge of the Office of Maximization, consultant of the Parliamentary Anti-Mafia Commission and member of the Commission for transparency and prevention of corruption.
He is the author of many books, including Football clan: perché il calcio è diventato lo sport più amato dalle mafie (with Gianluca Di Feo, Rizzoli, 2012), I Casalesi. Nascita ed evoluzione, in Atlante delle mafie (Rubbettino Editore, 2012) and La corruzione spuzza.
