Pierfrancesco Diliberto, better known as Pif, began his career working as an assistant director of Franco Zeffirelli in Un tè con Mussolini (1998) and with Marco Tullio Giordana in I cento passi (2000). In 2000 Pif became a television author, later acquiring fame with Le Iene, where he worked as an author and reporter from 2001 to 2010. In 2007 for MTV he made Il testimone, his first individual TV program, one of the most original and innovative at the time. In 2017 he appeared on Rai3 with his Caro Marziano. For the cinema he interviewed Ettore Scola in the documentary Ridendo e scherzando. In 2013 he made his directorial debut with the feature La mafia uccide solo d’estate, for which he won two David di Donatello awards, including the one for best debut director and an EFA (European Film Awards) for best comedy, from which was made a television series for Rai Uno. His second film is In Guerra per amore (2016). His first novel is … che Dio perdona a tutti (Feltrinelli, 2018).
