Pier Virgilio Datoli is president of the Consiglio Italiano del Movimento Europeo, advisor to the European Commission and political advisor to the Gruppo Spinelli, a non-profit association created by 35 European thinkers. He is professor of politics and European institutions at the University of Rome. He is the author of Verso una costituzione democratica per l'Europa (1984), Discorsi al Parlamento Europeo di Altiero Spinelli (1986), 1992, Europa senza frontiere?
