Patrick Kingsley is migration correspondent of The Guardian. He was named foreign affairs journalist of the year at the 2015 British Journalism Awards for his article entitled The Journey, which followed a Syrian refugee across the Mediterranean. He has reported from more than 25 countries. He is the author of How to be Danish: a Short Journey into the Mysterious Heart of Denmark (2012). His second book, on the European refugee crisis, will be published in summer 2016.
