Mirella Marchese
Osservatorio di Pavia
Mirella Marchese is a researcher at the Osservatorio di Pavia, where she has worked since 1995 first as a media analyst, then as head of quali-quantitative research. Her field of analysis and research focuses on the analysis of the thematic agenda of the news, on political-electoral communication and on analysis of social media. For years she has been involved in training on communication analysis techniques in Italy and abroad. Internationally, she has participated as a media expert in numerous election observation missions and technical assistance for media monitoring (eg in Ghana, Ethiopia, Lebanon, Turkey, Serbia, Montenegro, Latvia). She teaches at the University of Pavia in the Public Opinion and Media Analysis course.
