Mariangela Maturi
freelance journalist

Mariangela Maturi is an Italian freelance journalist and author based in the UK. She is currently producing A Girls’ Game, a journalistic project supported by the European Journalism Centre.
She started working in 2006 in the newsrooms of Radio Popolare and Il Manifesto in Italy, becoming a freelancer in 2010, before moving to Ecuador. She has been in England since 2013. After completing a masters in international journalism at City University, she has been working as a contributor from London for the Swiss national radio (RSI) and other international media outlets.
In July 2017 she was awarded a bursary from the Rory Peck Training Fund for hostile environment training. Her interests include human rights, gender equality, environment, political and social affairs.
