Marco Mazzoni

University of Perugia

Marco Mazzoni is associate professor of the Sociology of Communications at the University of Perugia. He is also president of CORECOM Umbria. His fields of research are journalism, corruption and the analysis of the different forms of political communication. His work has been published in European Journal of Communication, Journalism, Celebrity Studies, International Journal of Cultural Studies and European Journal of Cultural Studies.

His books include Le relazioni pubbliche e il lobbying in Italia (2010), Nuovi approcci alla comunicazione politica (2011), co-authored with Enrico Caniglia, and Il gossip al potere. Il politico celebrità nell’era della politica pop (Maggioli, 2015).
