Laura Garzoli, biologist, cooperates with the Stazione Teriologica Piemontese – STeP and the National Research Council – Institute of Ecosystem Study (CNR-ISE) of Verbania in several projects aimed at fosterong biodiversity conservation actions. Among these projects, the innovative YES!, supported by BCFN, promotes a sustainable management of rice fields based on the enhancement of the ecosystem services provided by bats. She holds a PhD in Experimental Ecology and Geobotany. Over the last 10 years, she has worked at the University of Pavia, the University of Turin and several Italian institutions on the conservation of biodiversity, in particular bats, and the management of invasive alien species. She’s also an expert in mycology, working with companies for training and biotechnological development.
