Kasia Smutniak is an Italian actress. She began her career as a model, making her debut as an actress in 2000 in the film Al momento giusto, directed by Giorgio Panariello. Among her later films are Radio west (2003), 13dici a tavola (2004), Caos calmo (2008), Barbarossa (2009), La passione (2010), Benvenuto presidente! (2013), Allacciate le cinture (2014), Meraviglioso Boccaccio (2015), Loro (2018), La profezione dell'armadillo (2018), Dolittle (2020) and 3/19 (2021). For her performances she has been awarded the Nastri d'Argento six times and won a Globo d'Oro (2008). In 2011 she founded the Pietro Taricone charity, a non-profit currently involved in the construction of a school in Nepal.
