Julia Hildebrand is leading the privacy-first software and community project beabee, a collaboration between CORRECTIV, The Bureau of Investigative Journalism, the Bristol Cable and Vereniging Veronica. beabee aims to empower more people across Europe to start and run local, independent, community-driven and membership-financed newsrooms in order to bring more diversity to our local information ecosystems.
Before that Julia was working with the Dublin-based social startup ChangeX.org on building a platform that makes it easy for people to find, start and invest in ideas that transform communities and on implementing the first social media strategy at Deutsche Welle, Germany’s international broadcaster.
