Jay Rosen

Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute New York Univ.

Jay Rosen is associate professor at the Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute of New York University. He has been on the faculty since 1986, and from 1999 to 2005 he served as chair of the Department.

He is the author of PressThink, a weblog about journalism and its ordeals, which he introduced in 2003.

He is the author of Getting the Connections Right: Public Journalism and the Troubles in the Press (1996) and What are Journalists For? (1999).

In March 2017 he announced his intention to support the launch of De Correspondent in the USA in his article entitled This is what a news organization built on reader trust looks like.
