Guia Baggi

Guia Baggi is co-founder of the Investigative Reporting Project Italy (IRPI), a centre for investigative journalism based in Italy. She carried out her journalism traineeship with the Italian media group Monrif while keeping fostering IRPI’s development. Between a contract and another, Guia also worked as a freelancer and fixer for national and international media. In the first part of 2016, she spent five months in New York as a Knight/Vice/CUNY Innovators’ Fund fellow developing the idea of a global reporting project and tool on trans-boundary movements of hazardous waste. So far, Toxic Waste Routes is just at a pre-embryonic stage seeking new opportunities to get closer to a complex interactive experience into the flows of global waste.
