Giuseppe Vessicchio is a composer and orchestra conductor. He began by working with fellow Neapolitan composers - Buonocore, Bennato, Di Capri, Gagliardi and Sastri among others - and then moved on to work with Gino Paoli, with whom he had hits such as Ti lascio una canzone and Coppi. The artists he has worked with over the years include Roberto Vecchioni, Andrea Bocelli, Zucchero, Elio e le Storie Tese, Avion Travel and Ornella Vanoni. Since 1990, he has been among the orchestra conductors of the Sanremo Festival, where he has won four times the award for best arrangement and for best orchestra conductor. He is author of La musica fa crescere i pomodori (Rizzoli, 2017).
