Giulio Piscitelli is a photojournalist who since 2013 has been represented by the Contrasto agency. His work has appeared in Italian and foreign magazines, including The New York Times, Time, Newsweek, Stern, Vrji, L'Espresso and La Stampa, and has been exhibited at the International Journalism Festival, the Angkor Photo Festival, the Visa pour l'Image festival in Perpignan, the War Photo Limited gallery and the Hannemberg Gallery. He has covered since 2010 the migration crisis in Europe, on which his book Harraga. In viaggio bruciando le frontiere (Contrasto, 2017) is based. He has also documented the coup in Egypt and the wars in Syria, Iraq and Ukraine.
