Giuliano Turone

ex judge Supreme Court

Giuliano Turone, a former judge of the Italian Supreme Court and former professor at the Catholic University of Milan, was the investigating judge who, before investigating Michele Sindona and the P2, arrived at Luciano Liggio. He resigned almost ten years before his natural retirement age from the judiciary, denouncing "a situation that effectively prevents the Supreme Court from working seriously." His books include Il caffè di Sindona (Garzanti, 2010), Il caso Battisti. Un terrorista omicida o un perseguitato politico? (Garzanti, 2013), Il boss. Luciano Liggio: da Corleone a Milano, una storia di mafia e complicità (Castelvecchi, 2018) and Italia occulta: Dal delitto Moro alla strage di Bologna. Il triennio maledetto che sconvolse la Repubblica (1978-1980) (Chiarelettere, January 2019).
