Giovanni Maria Bellu is president of the Associazione Carta di Roma and editor of the online daily Sardinia Post. He writes about social issues for Tiscali News and contributes to RAI. He was director of the weekly magazine Left-Avvenimenti and daily Sardegna 24, and from 2008 to 2011 he was first deputy director and later co-director of Unità. In 2002 he won the Saint Vincent Award.
He is co-author with Giuseppe d'Avanzo of I giorni di Gladio (1991) and author of I fantasmi di Portopalo (2004) and L'uomo che volle essere Peron (2008).
