Gianluca Comin is the external relations director of ENEL. He joined ENEL in 2002 as communications director, and with his new appointment he is now also responsible for national and international institutional affairs. He was also involved in the communications sector at Telecom Italia as media relations manager, and at Montedison as external relations manager. Among his professional experiences, he spent a year as spokesman and head of the press office of the Ministry of Public Works in 1997-98. He worked for the Italian daily Il Gazzettino for about ten years as economics and parliamentary writer. He is a member of the ENDESA (Spanish company) Board of Directors and delegate counselor for the non-profit organization ENEL Cuore. He is the president of FERPI (Italian Federation for Public Relations) and a member of the Civita Association administrative council. He is scientific director of the communications program at the LUISS University in Rome and is visiting lecturer in various universities on the subject of institutional and financial communication.
