Fabiana Zollo

IMT Lucca School for Advanced Studies

Fabiana Zollo is studying for a PhD in Computer, Decision and Systems Science at the IMT School for Advanced Studies in Lucca, Italy, where she is a fellow of the CSSLab.

Her research interests are focused on data mining techniques for social dynamics and rumour spreading, with attention on discovering patterns of individual and group behaviour. In particular, she is interested in understanding the cognitive dynamics behind the formation of narratives – ie. information coherent with a given world view - on the web and discovering the mechanisms underlying mass phenomena (eg. virality of information).
