Claudio Fava is an MP for the Sinistra Ecologia e Libertà party and vice president of the Parliamentary Anti-Mafia Commission. A journalist by profession, from 1984 to 1986 he edited I Siciliani after the death of his father Pippo Fava, who was murdered by the mafia. As a journalist he has also contributed to Corriere della Sera, Il Mattino and RAI. He has been a writer for the theater, television and film - I cento passi (2000).
