Chiara Valerio is an author, translator and journalist. She works for the publisher Nottetempo and contributes to the weekly Domenicale of Il Sole 24 Ore and radio and TV programmes (Pane quotidiano on RAI 3 and Ad alta voce on RAI Radio 3).

She is the author of La gioia piccola d'essere quasi salvi (2009), Spiaggia libera tutti (2012) and Almanacco del giorno prima (2014). Her forthcoming book is entitled Storia umana della matematica (Einaudi).
