Carlotta Sami

Carlotta Sami is spokesperson in Italy for the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR). Her work in the field of human rights and humanitarian interventions in crisis areas began in 1998, in the Palestinian Occupied Territories, after a period of teaching at the Faculty of Law of Paris Nanterre X University. In Italy, she was Director General of Amnesty International and managed the operations of Save the Children. With Save the Children International, she worked on global humanitarian emergencies. She holds a degree in Law and a PhD in General Theory of Law from the University of Milan. She is mother to Matilde, 13 years old.
