Ben DeJarnette

Ben DeJarnette is the project and product manager for the University of Oregon Agora Journalism Center's Community of Practice Platform for Engaged Journalism, a first-of-its-kind digital platform designed to support engagement practitioners across the USA.
Previously, he was the associate editor at MediaShift, where he reported on digital media innovation and managed the DigitalEd training program. As a freelancer, Ben has written for High Country News, InvestigateWest, Men's Journal, Pacific Standard, Narratively, Oregon Quarterly, and others, primarily covering criminal justice, environmental policy, and rural economic development.
