Barbara Hüppe is Chief Marketing Officer of Hubii, a blockchain-based decentralised content marketplace based in Norway. She spent the last 20 years in leading communications roles for disruptive brands, mostly in technology: Mozilla, PayPal, eBay and Gelato AS. In 2017, she started working with blockchain when joining Hubii to lead the company’s communications. Especially during her tenure at Mozilla, Barbara worked on global initiatives focused on increasing open source technology in the newsroom and in general web and media literacy – both topics that are inseparable from the current fact-checking discussion. She studied in Germany, Spain and the US and holds a PhD in literature.
