Annmarie Benedict

Social Change Initiative

Annmarie Benedict has worked in international philanthropy for nearly 15 years. Her grantmaking has supported advocacy for migrant rights, civil liberties and criminal justice reform and she believes that advocacy is most effective when entwined with cutting edge communications.

Annmarie is an Executive at the Social Change Initiative (SCI) in Belfast, Northern Ireland where she leads a program strengthening migration advocacy with strategic communications and narrative change. SCI, in partnership with More In Common, commissioned research on attitudes towards migration in five European countries including Italy, and engages civil society to build new messages and narratives based on the research.

Until she joined SCI, Annmarie was a Senior Program Executive at The Atlantic Philanthropies in New York and has always been a performing artist and teacher.
