Anne Roth works at Tactical Tech as an editor and researcher on online privacy and surveillance. She currently leads Tactical Tech's My Shadow project, developing awareness-raising materials alongside the Myshadow.org website, and regularly speaks and trains on privacy, surveillance and digital security. In the past, she has worked as a web editor, journalist, translator and researcher. As co-founder of one of Germany's first interactive media activist websites, Indymedia, Anne has long been engaged in media activism of various forms. In her personal capacity, she continues to be an active blogger, focusing on privacy, surveillance, media, internet politics and women's rights issues (annalist.noblogs.org; 50prozent.noblogs.org). She also recently launched speakerinnen.org, a database of woman experts. Anne holds a degree in political science from the Free University of Berlin.
