Anna Lekas Miller is an independent journalist who covers war and conflict, with a particular eye on the impact of war, conflict and migration on women. She has worked in Israel/Palestine, Lebanon, Turkey and Iraq, filing stories for The Daily Beast, The Intercept, Deutsche Welle, and a number of other publications. Anna fiercely believes in freelancers advocating for other freelancers--particularly women--and has organized safety trainings and workshops in Istanbul, Beirut and Erbil. Miller is on the ACOS (A Culture of Safety) Freelance Panel.
