After eight years, the war in Yemen is at a turning point: the new deal between Saudi Arabia and Iran under China's diplomacy poses new hopes for the peace to come. But even if this will happen soon, still many problems are unresolved, including the process of accountability. Especially after the failure of the UN special commission of experts in 2018 and the denial of the Security Council on the Saudi responsibilities, Yemeni citizens feel abandoned and neglected by the International community. Besides, the increasing violence perpetrated by militias from both sides of the war is growing a new generation of Yemenis fueled by hatred and revenge, while the country is in extreme need of peace but also governance, education and opportunities at every level.
