At IJF14, ONA sought global input on a build-your-own ethics code to help guide news outlets around the world in considering how they would approach ethical issues in the digital realm. This year, ONA Executive Director Jane McDonnell and the AP’s Tom Kent, one of the chief architects of the ethics code, will share the results, solicit testers and outline how newsrooms can get involved with creating and adopting an ethical code that specifically fits their needs.
