Crimea is Russian once again. Sixty years after the "gift" of Nikita Khrushchev to the Ukraine, Moscow has annexed the strategic peninsula which it has always considered its own. Without a shot being fired, with a military occupation and a referendum whose legitimacy historians and jurists will debate for a long time. There are open scenarios that were thought to be consigned to the history books, Western sanctions, diplomatic retaliations, the risk of a domino effect which dissolves what remains of the Ukrainian state. In this war as yet unwaged, the mass media have played and continue to play a key role, reporting and interpreting events full of potential consequences for global equilibrium. To what extent is Crimea also a media "cold war"?
