Gianmaria Sannino is head of the Laboratory of Climate Modeling and Impacts at ENEA (Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development). An expert in oceanography, climatology and paleoclimatology, his main activities are linked to the study of the oceans and climate models and evaluation of the energy potential of ocean tides. He has participated in national and European projects as well as having written more than 80 scientific articles. He is a member of EUROGOOS, EERA (European Energy Research Alliance) and is on the scientific committee of ECRA (European Climate Research Alliance) and MED-Cordex (Mediterranean Cordex Initiative).
