Emre Kizilkaya

Emre Kizilkaya is a Turkish journalist based in Istanbul, currently working as the digital content coordinator of Hürriyet, Turkey's largest newspaper, and serving as the vice president of the International Press Institute's (IPI) Turkish National Committee. He previously worked as an editor at Hürriyet's foreign news service for over a decade, including a five-year term as the chief foreign news editor. He has been writing a column on the newspaper's website since 2007. Kizilkaya was managing editor of the Hürriyet Daily News, the English-language edition of Hürriyet, from 2014-15. He has been quoted by international media outlets, including The New York Times, CNN, BBC, The Guardian, Reuters, Agence France-Press, Associated Press, Corriere della Sera and Le Figaro. He is a regular contributor for Al-Monitor and The Huffington Post.
