Jon Wilks will be looking at how data has had an effect on the modern newsroom, looking briefly at the history of analytics before investigating how modern journalists need to consider different analytics available. He'll be discussing why "cherry picking" is a problem, and how the future might look if journalists learn how to respond to analytics intuitively rather than fearing them. Jon will do this by drawing on his own experiences as a journalist and editor, as well as from his work with Content Insights.
